Eugene, OR OR CCB #206675 Est ~2005

Van Camp Construction.

From excavation through finish, no job is too big or small.

A general contractor in the south Willamette Valley.

CHAPTER I · THE WORK

Twenty years of building across the south Willamette.

Randy Van Camp has been the principal on every project his license has carried since OR CCB #206675 issued. Excavation, foundations, framing, masonry, roofing, finish – the trades that make a building stand. The crew partners only with licensed, bonded, insured sub-contractors. The standard is simple: every line the client sees should hold up to a second look.

CHAPTER II · PORTFOLIO

Selected work.

A portfolio reads honestly when it is built the way the work is: one project at a time, each held long enough for the viewer to see how the parts meet. The pieces below are pulled from current and recent jobs. {{MISSING: portfolio_projects}} – project titles, scope, and completion year will be wired in alongside the published gallery.

PROJECT 01 · {{MISSING: portfolio_projects}}

CARPENTRY · FRAMING · FINISH

New construction, ground up.

From excavation through finish: a single contractor on the job from the day the dirt moves to the day the trim caps the doorway. The crew runs framing, structural beams, windows, doors, flooring, siding and trim through one continuous schedule. The result is a building whose seams line up because the same people drew them.

Scope on this build: new home construction with full-height foundation walls (24 to 96 inches), structural steel beams, custom carpentry through to finish.

  • Finish carpentry

MASONRY · STONE

Stone, brick, and the cuts between them.

Natural stone laid alongside cultured stone and brick veneer. Fireplaces and chimneys built to last more than the warranty. CMU foundations and decorative or structural block where the engineer asked for it. Colored mortar selected against the stone, not against a sample card.

The mason on this job worked the columns and the arches by hand. The repair work on the older chimney was matched in coursing and joint width before the first stone was lifted.

PROJECT 03 · {{MISSING: portfolio_projects}}

DECKING · HANDRAILS · OUTDOOR

The exterior structures that get used.

Composite decking in Trex® or Timbertech® where the client wants no maintenance, cedar where they want the smell. Cable railing and aluminum handrails detailed for view, wood handrails detailed for hand. Custom benches and swings built to the deck’s lines, not bought to fit them.

The pergolas, patio covers, and dry-rot repairs that come up alongside a deck are part of the same scope. Post, stair, and accent lighting are wired before the boards go down.

  • Cable railing
  • Pergolas & covers
PROJECT 04 · {{MISSING: portfolio_projects}}

EXCAVATION · FOUNDATIONS

Underground, where the building begins.

Demolition and removal, clearing, digging and trenching, utility runs, leveling and compaction, testing. Footings and pier pads. Load pads. Rebar through to foundation walls between two and eight feet tall. Sidewalks, garages, and patios stamped, colored, stained, or sealed depending on what the design called for.

  • Excavation
  • Foundation walls
  • Stamped concrete
